Stanton - May 18 David Shawver, Candidate Orange County Board Supervisors

It is good to see our very own David Shawver as a candidate for the Orange County Board of Supervisors, second district. According to the Orange County Newspaper these are some of the things he wants to work on:

"Solidify the county's financial future"	While serving as our council member this meant utility taxes
"Business retention"	While serving as our council member business were closed while new homes took their place
"Stop making it hard to do business in Orange County"	Notice that on Beach blvd. there are dozens and dozens of business vacancies in Stanton. For 1 mile North of Ball Road there are zero vacancies and 1 mile South of Garden Grove blvd there are zero vacancies.
"Measure M"	According to the Garden Grove Journal Stanton has had a major surplus of cash for many years. Then why did they wait so long to fix the pot holes on Cerritos? Like the California Lottery it appears that Measure M is another tax that goes into the city's general fund.
"Solving overflowing landfills"	While Dave Shawver takes campaign contributions from home developers, Stanton is removing busineses and bringing in new homes that only add trash to the landfills.
"Never forget what is best for individual communities"	Dave Shawver should consider fixing our community in the areas of crime, unemployment, utility tax, and business retention
