How The Candidates Stand On the Major Issues

Al
Utility Tax Kevin Carr defeated the Stanton City Council's attempt at a new tax. Believes the tax is illegal and taking the City of Stanton to court over it. Promised to oppose new taxes and eliminate the 5% Utility Tax in 1996 but then had us vote for a new tax instead.

Tries to take credit for decreases in crime but doesn't tell you that Stanton has the second worst crime rate in the county.
Police

2) They didn't keep their major campaign promises and didn't deserve a raise.

Voted in favor of increase his own salary after not keeping his major campaign promises.
